Ideal candidates will be experienced school nurses driven to make a real difference for diverse, predominantly low-income student populations. This full-time role ensures you will build meaningful connections and have a direct, measurable impact on students' health, well-being, and school success.

Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

  • Active School Nurse certification and RN license, meeting all Illinois state and district requirements
  • Minimum of three years recent school nursing experience
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local laws related to school health services
  • Bilingual Spanish proficiency preferred
  • CPR and PALS certification are highly valued

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive health services to students from Kindergarten through Grade 8
  • Manage chronic conditions, administer medications, provide emergency care, and develop health plans
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and outside health agencies to support student health needs
  • Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with health-related policies and protocols
  • Educate students and staff on wellness, hygiene, and health best practices
