This position offers a rewarding opportunity for a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) to provide dedicated, one-on-one care to a student with extensive medical needs in a year-round school setting. The role requires compassionate, attentive nursing support to ensure the students health and safety throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care tailored to the students complex medical requirements
- Monitor and manage medical equipment and medication administration as prescribed
- Ride the bus with the student to provide continuous care during transportation
- Collaborate with educators and caregivers to support the student's overall well-being
- Maintain detailed and accurate health records and communicate changes promptly
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid RN or LPN/LVN license in the state of Illinois
- Experience working in a school or pediatric healthcare setting preferred
- Ability to provide 1:1 nursing care with patience and professionalism
- Strong communication and observation skills to respond promptly to medical needs
- Comfort riding the school bus alongside the student during transport
