A part-time Registered Nurse opportunity is available to provide specialized care in an elementary school setting in Chicago, IL. This role focuses on supporting medically fragile students, ensuring their health and safety throughout the school day. The contract position is set for the current school year (CSY), requiring approximately 10 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver skilled nursing care tailored to the needs of medically fragile students.
- Monitor student health conditions and manage medical treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers to develop and implement individualized health plans.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies, maintaining accurate documentation.
- Provide health education and support to students as appropriate.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Experience working with medically fragile children, preferably in a school environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to school policies and healthcare regulations.
- Flexibility to work part-time hours during the school week.
