A full-time Registered Nurse position is available to support K-12 students in a health room setting near Glen Ellyn, IL. This contract role covers the school year, from ASAP through the end of February, providing essential healthcare services within a school environment. The assignment offers a structured schedule and the opportunity to make a positive impact on student health and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care and health assessments to students in the school health room
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols
- Monitor and manage student health records and communicate with parents and staff as necessary
- Respond to emergencies and provide first aid as needed
- Support health education initiatives and promote wellness within the school community
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
- Experience working in a school setting preferred, especially with K-12 populations
- Strong clinical and assessment skills applicable to pediatric and adolescent healthcare
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with students, staff, and families
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively in emergency situations
