Job Description

School Nurse (RN or LPN) - Chester, NJ

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a full-time, school-based role in Chester, NJ starting January 5 through the end of the school year.

This position offers a supportive district, manageable student needs, and flexibility for nurses who prefer either 1:1 support or health office duties.

Schedule

Full-time
Approx. 6:45 AM 3:00 PM
MondayFriday
Single school assignment

Student Support Details

This role primarily supports two students in a 1:1 capacity:

Morning Student:
Requires seizure monitoring
No seizure activity in the past 4 years

Afternoon Student:

Student with muscular dystrophy

Wheelchair-bound, verbal

No trach, no G-tube

-Bus riding is required for student support.

Flexible Option

If a nurse prefers health office duties only, the district is open to that option and will reassign internal staff to cover the 1:1 students.

Requirements

Active RN or LPN license in New Jersey
School or pediatric experience preferred
Comfortable with basic seizure monitoring and mobility support
