Job Description
A Registered Nurse is needed to support a K-12 school in Carpinteria, CA, on a contract basis for the current school year. This role is ideal for a nurse experienced in school nursing and case management, focusing on a triennial reassessment for a student with medical needs.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting a comprehensive triennial reassessment for a student, including updating health care plans and coordinating medical aide services
- Meeting with the student and parents at least once in person to address and evaluate ongoing health concerns
- Providing nursing support and case management as needed to ensure the students medical needs are met within the school setting
- Coordinating communication between medical providers, school staff, and the family
- Working 3 hours per week with flexible schedulinghours can be distributed throughout the week or completed in one day
- Starting as soon as possible, with an anticipated start date of June 3rd, 2026
Qualifications:
- Valid RN licensure
- Experience in school nursing and case management preferred
- Ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and school personnel
- Strong organizational and communication skills
