The position runs through the 2025-2026 school year, working Sundays through Thursdays from 3pm to 11pm, offering a consistent evening schedule.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with credentials to work in Pennsylvania
- Minimum of 3 years of pediatric nursing experience required
- Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Prior school nursing experience or familiarity with pediatric populations in clinical settings highly valued
- Excellent communication, assessment, and critical-thinking skills
- Compassionate approach and commitment to advocating for the well-being of students
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, individualized nursing care to children with vision impairments and additional medical needs
- Collaborate with educators, staff, and families to promote students health, safety, and independence
- Administer medications, monitor chronic and acute health concerns, and manage care plans
- Respond promptly to health emergencies, ensuring the well-being of students throughout each evening shift
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school protocols
- Provide support and guidance for teachers and staff regarding student health issues
