Seeking a dedicated nursing professional to support a vibrant pre-school student requiring specialized care. This contract, part-time role begins as soon as possible and extends through June 30, 2026, with summer work available and the potential for a new school-year renewal. The position focuses on one-on-one care for a 3-year-old who is ambulatory, energetic, and requires support for a tracheostomy (ventilator use only when ill).
Key Qualifications:
- Active Massachusetts RN or LPN license required
- Experience in school-based nursing settings preferred
- Must complete CORI and fingerprinting background clearance
- Ability to commute to the school site
- Comfortable working with pediatric tracheostomy/vent-dependent students
- Must be available on Mondays and Fridays
- Open to RN or LPN applicants; CNA and medical assistant certification not considered
Primary Responsibilities:
- Accompany the student on the van to and from school, ensuring safety and immediate medical response if needed
- Remain onsite during the school day to monitor and support the students health needs
- Collaborate with educational and healthcare team members for optimal student care
- Maintain accurate, confidential healthcare records in alignment with school and state requirements
Employment Details:
- Part-time, two days per week (Monday & Friday)
- One direct-care opening
