A full-time Registered Nurse position is available to provide essential school nursing services within PreK-8 grade levels in Cambridge, MA. This contract role offers a dynamic environment where your expertise will support the health and well-being of students across multiple school campuses.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering comprehensive school nursing care, including health assessments, medication administration, and emergency response
- Managing student health records and communicating effectively with staff, parents, and healthcare providers
- Ensuring compliance with Massachusetts school health regulations
- Traveling onsite to various school locations within Cambridge public schools for coverage as needed
- Adhering to all required safety protocols and completion of fingerprinting and CORI background checks
Qualifications and experience:
- Valid Massachusetts LPN or RN license required
- Previous experience in school nursing or pediatric settings preferred
- Ability to manage multiple school locations and diverse student needs
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Must be comfortable commuting to different school campuses throughout Cambridge
- Completion of fingerprinting and CORI check mandatory for hire
Work schedule and location details:
- Full-time contract position
- Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM, 40 hours per week
- Onsite work only; remote work is not available
- Start date: ASAP
- Contract end date: June 18, 2026
- Location: Cambridge, MA, with some campuses in Lawrence, MA area
