Provide essential healthcare services as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) within a K-12 school environment, supporting the well-being of students throughout the academic year. This contract position, based onsite in Cambridge, MA, offers a rewarding opportunity to deliver quality school nursing care in a classroom nurse caseload setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care and health assessments to students in a K-12 school setting
- Manage student health records and ensure accurate documentation
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with healthcare plans
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers to support student health needs
- Respond promptly to health emergencies and provide first aid as required
- Promote health education and wellness programs within the school community
Qualifications:
- Current RN or LPN license in the state of Massachusetts
- Experience in school nursing or pediatric nursing preferred
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work collaboratively in a school environment
- Strong communication skills for interacting with students, families, and school personnel
- Commitment to student health and safety
Location and Schedule:
- Position is onsite in Cambridge, MA
- School year contract from approximately September 8, 2026, to November 20, 2026 (dates tentative)
- 37.5 hours per week, aligned with school hours
