A summer opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with experience in school nursing to provide care and support to students within a school environment. This position is based in Buffalo, MN, and requires a travel commitment, offering a unique chance to work in a new community while making a meaningful impact on student health and well-being.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Prior experience as a school nurse preferred
- Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for students
- Strong communication skills for interacting with students, staff, and families
- Ability to manage healthcare plans for students with chronic conditions
Location:
- Travel assignment in Buffalo, MN
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care and health assessments to students during school hours
- Administer medications and manage healthcare plans as required
- Offer health education and support to students and school staff
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and communicate appropriately
- Maintain accurate and confidential health records in compliance with school policies
Schedule:
- Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM during the summer term
