Qualifications:
- Current, valid RN license in the state
- Previous pediatric or school nursing experience preferred
- Exceptional assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently while being a consistent support to one student
- Strong commitment to maintaining confidentiality and fostering a safe, inclusive environment
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized medical care and monitoring for one student, ensuring safety, comfort, and daily well-being
- Administer medications, perform health-related procedures, and respond to emergencies if needed
- Collaborate closely with educational staff, parents, and health care providers to implement and update individualized healthcare plans
- Maintain accurate health records and provide frequent communication regarding the students health status
- Educate staff as appropriate regarding the students medical needs and create a supportive learning atmosphere
