An opportunity is available for a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide critical health support within a K-12 school setting located in Buellton, CA. This contract position is set for the current school year, starting ASAP with an expected start date of June 3rd, 2026.
Responsibilities include conducting a triennial reassessment for a student with medical needs. This involves developing and coordinating health care plans and managing the medical aide assigned to the student. The LVN will be required to meet with the parents and the student in person at least once, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the students healthcare needs and effectively addressing any concerns. The position requires a total of 3 hours per week, which can be scheduled flexibly throughout the week or concentrated in one day, and the role will be fully in person.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid LVN license
- Experience in school health nursing or pediatric care
- Ability to coordinate care and communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff
- Familiarity with health care plans and managing medical aides
- Strong organizational and assessment skills
