A full-time registered nurse opportunity is available in Bothell, WA, supporting a kindergarten student with 1:1 ventilator and tracheostomy care. This role requires onsite presence to provide comprehensive nursing care throughout the school day, ensuring the students health and safety while facilitating transportation support via bus to and from school. On days when the student is absent, the RN will assist with other nursing duties within the school districts health rooms or support other students as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized nursing care and support for a kindergarten student with complex respiratory needs
- Monitor and manage the students ventilator and tracheostomy equipment during the school day
- Coordinate with transportation staff to ensure safe bus support
- Assist with health room duties and provide nursing support to other students during student absences
- Maintain accurate health records and communicate with school staff and families as necessary
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license for the state of Washington
- Experience working in school nursing and/or pediatric nursing preferred
- Ability to manage ventilator and tracheostomy care in a school setting
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to supporting students with special healthcare needs
Schedule and Location:
- Full-time position with 37.5 hours per week
- Onsite work at a school location in Bothell, Washington
- Travel between school and district locations as required
