Job Description

This full-time, onsite role in Bothell, WA, offers a rewarding opportunity to provide specialized nursing care in a school setting. The focus is on supporting a Kindergarten student with 1:1 vent and trach needs, requiring direct nursing support throughout the school day. Transportation assistance is provided to ensure safe transit for the student to and from school. When the student is absent, nursing support will extend to the districts health rooms and other students, offering variety and engagement in your daily responsibilities.

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized 1:1 nursing care for a Kindergarten student with complex respiratory needs
  • Monitor and manage vent and trach care consistently throughout the school day
  • Provide medical oversight and support during student absences within district health rooms or to other students
  • Collaborate with school staff to promote a safe and healthy learning environment
  • Support student transportation with bus assistance as needed

Qualifications:

  • Active RN License in the state of Washington is required
  • Experience in pediatric nursing, preferably in school or community health settings
  • Competence in managing tracheostomy and ventilator care
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with educators and families
  • Flexibility to support other nursing duties when primary student is not present
