Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a Registered Nurse supporting students in an engaging ESY (Extended School Year) summer program near East Somerville, MA. This program, designed for approximately 115 students from Pre-K through 12+, takes place Monday through Thursday, 8:00 am to 12:30 pm, beginning July 6th and concluding August 6th. The role is ideal for someone eager to make a positive impact in a school community during the summer months, all while enjoying afternoons and weekends free.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Massachusetts RN license required
- Previous experience working in a school-based or pediatric setting highly preferred
- Strong clinical assessment skills with the ability to adapt to a dynamic environment
- Outstanding communication and organizational abilities
- Commitment to providing compassionate, student-centered care
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver nursing care for a diverse student population, including those with special health needs
- Administer medications, respond to health emergencies, and manage acute or chronic health conditions as needed
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date health records in compliance with state and school guidelines
- Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to ensure the well-being of every student
- Promote a safe, healthy environment for learning and growth
