A healthcare professional is needed to provide dedicated transportation nursing support for a student with special healthcare needs in Waltham, MA. This contract position offers an opportunity to work closely with a non-speaking student diagnosed with autism and a seizure disorder, ensuring safe and medically informed transport between the students home and school.

Location:

• Waltham, MA

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care during transportation, including monitoring and managing potential seizure activity.
• Transport the student from their home to Beverly School for the Deaf in the morning and return with the student to Waltham in the afternoon.
• Ensure the safety and comfort of the student throughout transport.
• Communicate effectively with family and school staff regarding students health status during the day.
• Maintain documentation of care provided during transportation.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current LPN or RN licensure valid in Massachusetts.
• Experience working with pediatric patients, especially those with autism and seizure disorders.
• Ability to work independently in a transportation setting.
• Strong communication and observational skills.

Position Details:

• Contract role from ASAP through June 15th, 2026.
• Approximately 1 hour of work daily, involving morning and afternoon transport schedules.
• Onsite presence required during transport times.
