Job Description

A full-time Registered Nurse (RN) position is available supporting a K-12 student in Medford, MA. This contract role involves providing specialized health care to a student with a 1:1 caseload who requires administration of seizure medication, tracheostomy care, suctioning, and G-tube feeding. The RN will accompany the student on bus transportation to and from school, ensuring continuous health monitoring and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer medication and perform medical interventions as prescribed, including seizure management, tracheostomy care, suctioning, and G-tube feeding
  • Collaborate with school staff and healthcare providers to develop and implement individualized health plans
  • Monitor the student's condition closely throughout the school day, including during transit
  • Maintain accurate documentation of medical care and incidents
  • Respond promptly to any health emergencies to ensure student safety

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Massachusetts
  • Experience in pediatric nursing, preferably in a school or educational setting
  • Competence in managing complex medical needs such as seizure disorders, tracheostomy care, and enteral feeding
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with the student, family, and school personnel
  • Ability to travel with the student on school bus transportation

Location: Medford, MA
Schedule: Full time, Monday through Friday
