A health professional with RN or LPN licensure is sought to provide one-on-one nursing care for a medically fragile student in a K-12 school setting. This role requires assisting with transportation between the student's home in Billerica, MA, and their educational placement in Lexington, MA, during the school year contract.
Location: Billerica, MA
Contract Duration: Current School Year (ASAP start through June 2026)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, approximately 7:007:30 AM pickup, school dismissal around 2:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized nursing support while accompanying a medically fragile student on a special education van to and from school.
- Assist the student in preparing for transportation each day, ensuring safety and comfort.
- Collaborate with the nursing team at the out-of-district campus; opportunities available to float within the district as needed.
- Monitor the students health status and respond to medical needs during transit.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current RN or LPN licensure in the state.
- Experience in school nursing or working with medically fragile children preferred.
- Ability to provide attentive and compassionate care during transportation and at the school environment.
- Reliable transportation and punctuality for early morning and afternoon shifts.
