A contract part-time position is available for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a student in a school environment near Big Lake, MN. This role focuses on delivering personalized care and advocacy during the school day, ensuring the student receives the attention and assistance they need to thrive.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active RN license in Minnesota
- Previous experience in school nursing or pediatric care preferred
- Comfortable providing 1:1 care and working independently
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate with school personnel and the students family
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care to a specific student as outlined in their care plan
- Monitor and document health status, medication administration, and medical interventions
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare team members to support the students well-being
- Support participation in classroom activities while ensuring safety and medical needs are met
- Respond promptly to medical situations or emergencies as they arise
- Maintain accurate health records and ensure confidential handling of all student information
