Passionate about supporting student health and wellness? A full-time RN Nurse opportunity awaits for the 2026/2027 school year on a contract basis. As a District Nurse, youll play a key role in ensuring a safe and healthy learning environment across multiple school sites.
Your day-to-day will involve offering high-quality care to students, administering medications, conducting health assessments, and providing emergency response when needed. In this role, youll collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to address a range of health concerns and promote best practices for wellness.
Key Qualifications:
- Current RN license required
- Previous experience working as a school nurse or in a pediatric setting preferred
- Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage confidential health information professionally
- Compassionate, patient-focused mindset
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide daily nursing care, first aid, and emergency interventions to students and staff
- Develop and manage care plans for students with chronic health needs
- Maintain accurate student health records and prepare required reports
- Conduct vision/hearing screenings, immunization verification, and health education programs
- Communicate effectively with staff, parents, and external healthcare providers
- Implement communicable disease risk reduction strategies
- Support students with physical, emotional, or developmental needs
