Step into a meaningful contract role as a nurse supporting two fifth-grade students requiring one-on-one medical assistance at a summer camp ESY program near the Bellingham area. This full-time position runs from May 27th to May 29th, 8am to 5pm each day, and is ideal for an RN or LPN seeking hands-on experience in a vibrant school setting. Youll be based onsite with a small team, providing direct care during a dynamic three-day camp.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active RN or LPN license in Washington State
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong assessment, decision-making, and documentation skills
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with supervising RN
- Current CPR certification
- Comfort working one-on-one with 5th grade students
- Willingness to complete fingerprinting prior to start
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver attentive, individualized nursing support for two twin 5th grade girls with specific medical needs
- Monitor, assess, and document students conditions throughout camp activities
- Administer prescribed medications and interventions as needed
- Communicate effectively with supervising RN, school representatives, and families
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all school health protocols
