This position presents a unique chance to build meaningful student relationships while demonstrating your skills in both medical and educational settings. You'll gain valuable experience managing student-specific cases and crisis situations, including seizure intervention, collaborating closely with school staff and transportation teams.
Key qualifications:
- Active RN license (New Hampshire or compact state)
- CPR/BLS certification required
- Previous experience in school, pediatric, or 1:1 care settings strongly preferred
- Ability to support all personal hygiene needs with dignity and professionalism
- Comfortable administering emergency seizure medication (seizure activity is infrequent)
- Strong communication, reliability, and adaptability
Key responsibilities:
- Provide direct 1:1 care for a male high school student throughout the school day, including riding the bus to and from school
- Support all personal care and hygiene needs during school hours
- Monitor for seizure activity and administer emergency medication as needed
- Ensure a safe, supportive environment in and outside the classroom
- Communicate and collaborate with school staff and parents as appropriate
