This contract opportunity is ideal for a Certified School Nurse (CSN) with a Professional Educator License (PEL), looking for a flexible schedule and the chance to work in a specialized educational setting.
As an onsite nurse in a supportive and collaborative team, youll work hands-on with students who require a higher level of behavioral and emotional support than public school settings can provide. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring these students can thrive academically, socially, and physically.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Certified School Nurse (CSN) credential
- Valid Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Experience working in school or pediatric settings preferred
- Strong communication and advocacy skills
- Capacity to handle varying behavioral and emotional support needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide health assessments, interventions, and care for students with diverse needs
- Collaborate with educational and therapeutic staff to develop and implement individualized health care plans
- Support crisis intervention and participate in the development of safety protocols
- Document health records and maintain compliance with school, state, and federal requirements
- Serve as a resource for staff and families regarding student health and wellness concerns
