A healthcare professional is needed to provide essential nursing support in an elementary school setting, working with a 1:1 medically fragile student. This contract position offers a focused schedule, allowing you to make a significant impact within a supportive educational environment.
Location: Bradford, VT
Discipline: Registered Nurse
Hours: 10 hours per week
Schedule: 1:00 PM 3:00 PM
Duration: Immediate start through June 2025
Openings: 1
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized nursing care to a medically fragile student in a one-on-one setting
- Monitor health status and administer medications or treatments as prescribed
- Maintain accurate medical records and communicate effectively with school staff and families
- Implement health care plans while ensuring student safety and well-being
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies as needed
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Vermont required
- CPR and BLS certification mandatory
- Previous experience in school nursing or pediatric nursing preferred
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work compassionately with children requiring specialized medical care
