Key Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Certified School Nurse (CSN) credential (Illinois)
• Experience working as a school nurse or with pediatric populations preferred
• Excellent communication and organization skills
• Ability to respond to emergency health situations calmly and effectively
• Must be collaborative and team-oriented

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver day-to-day health services to students, including first aid, medication administration, and chronic health management
• Conduct health screenings and maintain detailed records in accordance with state and district guidelines
• Promote a healthy school environment by educating students and staff about wellness, hygiene, and disease prevention
• Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to advocate for students' health needs
• Assist with crisis response and development of emergency health care plans
• Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards at all times
