Embark on a rewarding contract assignment delivering exceptional healthcare to young learners in an early childhood Pre-K environment. This role centers on providing skilled nursing support at a local early childhood center, working with a vibrant Pre-K population. The position offers consistent weekday hours, running from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, totaling 37.5 hours per week for the entirety of the academic year.

Ideal candidates will possess:

• Current, active RN licensure in Illinois
• Prior experience in a school setting or pediatrics (preferred, but not required)
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with students, staff, and families
• The ability to respond calmly and efficiently to routine student needs and minor first aid situations
• Organization and attention to detail when documenting care and ensuring compliance with school protocols

In this role, you will:

• Deliver daily nursing care for Pre-K students, tending primarily to minor illnesses and injuries
• Administer medications per physician orders and school policy
• Monitor and manage student health records, maintaining up-to-date documentation
• Act as a health education resource for staff, students, and families
• Collaborate with school administration to support an environment of wellness and safety
• Respond to medical situations as needed; no high-needs population in this assignment
