A Registered Nurse with school nursing experience is needed for a travel assignment in Augusta, Maine. This part-time position requires providing support for a student with seizures during her school day in a public school setting.
Location:
Augusta, Maine
Assignment Details:
- Schedule: 24 hours per week, approximately three days weekly
- Assignment Duration: Immediate start through June 10, 2026
- Responsibilities include accompanying and assisting a student from 8:30 AM until 2:00 PM each school day
- Support duties involve supervising the student as she walks with a helmet and drop harness, following a detailed seizure management plan
- Assistance starts at the students bus pickup and continues throughout the school day
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse licensure
- Experience in pediatric nursing or school nursing settings
- Ability to manage students with seizure disorders, following prescribed care plans
- Strong observation and supervision skills during mobility and daily activities
Working Conditions:
- Onsite assignment within a school environment
- Collaborative role supporting educational and health needs
