Make a meaningful difference as a dedicated 1:1 nurse, providing essential care and support for a student with complex medical needs in a welcoming school setting. This contract opportunity offers you the chance to work closely with one student, delivering expert one-on-one attention during school hours. This position is located in Athens, GA.
Key Requirements:
- Active RN or LPN license in Georgia
- Demonstrated experience working in school settings, particularly 1:1 pediatric care
- Prior hands-on experience with tracheostomy care is essential
- Compassionate and patient-focused, with excellent communication skills
- Reliable, organized, and able to adapt care plans as needed
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled, consistent 1:1 nursing care for a student with severe needs throughout the school day
- Monitor and manage trach care vigilantly, ensuring student safety and comfort at all times
- Collaborate with school staff, teachers, and family members to support student well-being and participation in daily activities
- Maintain accurate documentation of care, observations, and interventions
- Respond promptly and appropriately to any changes in the students condition
