Youll collaborate closely with educators and families to provide excellent nursing services throughout the school year.
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia
- Prior experience as a school nurse or in pediatric/adolescent care preferred
- Strong assessment and clinical skills
- Ability to respond calmly and effectively in fast-paced or emergency situations
- Familiarity with state regulations regarding medication administration and student health compliance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to students, including first aid, medication administration, and management of chronic conditions
- Monitor student health, conduct screenings, and maintain detailed health records in accordance with policies
- Serve as a resource to staff and families on health-related concerns
- Collaborate with educators, support staff, and outside healthcare providers to create and implement individualized care plans
- Promote wellness initiatives and educate the school community on health and safety practices
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and coordinate care as needed
- Participate in development of health protocols and ensure compliance with all local and state regulations
