A contract opportunity is available for a School-Based RN/LPN in Athens, GA, providing essential nursing care to 4-year-old students in a school setting. This role involves supporting the health and well-being of young learners during the school day while collaborating with educators and staff.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Georgia RN or LPN license
- Recent trach care experience within the past year
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with children and school staff
- Ability to manage health plans and respond to medical needs during school hours
Job Details:
- Location: Athens, GA
- Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday
- Setting: School environment serving preschool-aged students
- Contract position
Primary Responsibilities:
- Administer nursing care including tracheostomy and respiratory support as required
- Monitor and document student health status, manage medications and emergency procedures
- Collaborate with educators and families to support individual student health plans
- Provide health education, promote wellness, and assist with developing safe environments for students
- Respond promptly and appropriately to emergency health situations during the school day
