Seeking a passionate and skilled Certified School Nurse (CSN) or RN Nurse to provide essential healthcare services to K-12 students in a vibrant school community near Arlington Heights and Highland Park, IL. This full-time, contract opportunity plays a crucial role in supporting student health, safety, and well-being throughout the academic year.
Ideal candidates are experienced in school nursing and committed to ensuring students receive the care and education they need to succeed. You will serve a diverse caseload across multiple grade levels, collaborating with educators, staff, and families to promote a healthy school environment.
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois; CSN certification preferred
- Previous experience in a school setting with K-12 populations highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding school health services
- Excellent assessment, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a dynamic caseload across various grade levels
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer first aid, medication, treatments, and emergency care to students and staff
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized health care plans and manage student immunization records
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and community health providers to address student health concerns
- Lead health education initiatives and support health-related school policies
- Assist in crisis response and implement appropriate protocols to maintain a safe school environment
