A per diem Registered Nurse (RN) opportunity is available for qualified candidates to provide school nursing services on an on-call basis in Anoka, MN. This role is perfect for RNs with school nursing experience who prefer a flexible schedule without guaranteed hours. You will be supporting the school district by filling in for district nurses during planned absences or covering day-to-day needs, including health office duties or 1:1 nursing care.
Location: Anoka, MN (travel position within the school district) Assignment Dates: February 17, 2026 June 5, 2026 Schedule: Per diem, strictly on-call with no guaranteed hours
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care and health office support for students in the school setting
- Cover for district-employed nurses during vacations, absences, or for additional daily support
- Administer medications, assess student health concerns, and handle emergencies as needed
- Maintain accurate health records and communicate with staff, students, and parents
- Collaborate with school personnel to promote student health and wellness
Qualifications and Experience:
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in Minnesota (MN RN license required upon application)
- Previous experience in school nursing or related pediatric nursing roles preferred
- Ability to work independently and respond effectively in healthcare situations
- Strong communication and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities
