This contract opportunity focuses on delivering 1:1 care for a student with significant medical needs. Work just one day each week and utilize your specialized nursing skills while contributing to a collaborative school environment.
Your role involves maintaining student safety and well-being during the school day, particularly in the areas of tube feeding, oxygen management, and medication administration. If youre an RN with a passion for individualized care and the flexibility for a Monday assignment, this position is designed for you.
What Were Looking For:
- Active RN license (required)
- Prior experience in school nursing or pediatric settings highly valued
- Strong skills in tube feeding
- Proficiency in oxygen monitoring and administration
- Comfortable with medication management in a school environment
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with staff, students, and families
- Professional, reliable, and compassionate approach
Your Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 care for a high school student on Mondays (7 hours per week)
- Safely perform complex nursing tasks including tube feeding and oxygen administration
- Monitor patient condition throughout the school day and respond to changing health needs
- Maintain close communication with the school team and parents
- Complete required documentation on student care
- Adhere to all school policies and best nursing practices
