An immediate opening for a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) is available at an elementary school setting in Ankeny, IA. This contract role, running for the school year, focuses on providing dedicated 1:1 nursing support to students with individualized healthcare needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to students requiring 1:1 support, ensuring their health and safety throughout the school day.
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers to create and implement individualized health plans.
- Monitor and document student health status and respond promptly to medical emergencies.
- Promote a healthy and safe learning environment in accordance with public health regulations.
Qualifications:
- Valid licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN), Public Health RN, School RN, or Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) with school nursing experience.
- Ability to manage an elementary student caseload effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, families, and school personnel.
- Experience in 1:1 nursing care preferred.
