Qualifications & Experience:
- Active RN license in New York State
- Experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations preferred
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Excellent assessment and communication skills
- Ability to maintain accurate, confidential health records
- Knowledge of school health regulations and immunization requirements a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care and first aid for student injuries or illnesses during school hours
- Administer medications and perform health procedures as prescribed
- Monitor and manage chronic conditions such as asthma, diabetes, and allergies
- Maintain clear, confidential health documentation for all students
- Act as a resource for health education and wellness promotion within the school community
- Collaborate with parents, educators, and external healthcare providers as needed
