This part-time contract position involves working one-on-one with a student requiring specialized tracheostomy support, ensuring their health and safety throughout the school day. The role is onsite and offers a supportive environment to apply your clinical skills in a school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one nursing care to a middle school student with tracheostomy support needs
- Monitor and manage tracheostomy tubes and respiratory status
- Collaborate with school staff and healthcare providers to support the student's health
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance with state regulations
- Respond promptly to any medical emergencies or changes in the students condition
Qualifications:
- Valid RN BSN license for the state of Indiana
- Prior pediatric nursing experience, preferably in school or community health settings
- Competence in managing tracheostomy care and emergency protocols
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
Location: Angola, Indiana (onsite at a middle school)
