A dedicated Registered Nurse is needed for a contract position in a school setting located in Albany, OR. This role supports students in grades 3-5, providing essential healthcare services within the educational environment. The position involves a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, spread across five days.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Oregon Nursing Licensure
- Certified School Nurse (CSN) or equivalent school nursing credentials preferred
- Experience working as an RN in a school setting is highly desirable
- Ability to manage health plans and medical needs for an assigned caseload of elementary-aged students
Responsibilities include:
- Providing direct nursing care and health assessments to students aged 8-11 years
- Managing student health records and care plans for a defined caseload
- Administering medications and treatments according to physician orders
- Collaborating with educators, parents, and healthcare providers to support student well-being
- Responding to health emergencies and promoting health education within the school community
