Preferred Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
- Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Nurse endorsement (CSN)
- Experience in school nursing or pediatric care is highly valued
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to respond effectively to emergencies, collaborate with school staff, and manage ongoing health plans for students
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care, including first aid, medication administration, and health screenings to students and staff
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs) and Emergency Action Plans (EAPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to promote a safe and healthy school environment
- Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- Conduct health education activities and promote wellness initiatives across the school community
- Participate in the development and implementation of school health policies and emergency preparedness
