Key Qualifications and Preferred Background:
- Current Wilson Reading Certification is required
- Experience working as a Reading Specialist in an elementary school setting
- Strong understanding of research-based literacy instructional strategies
- Ability to tailor reading interventions to diverse learners
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted reading interventions to students in a pull-out or small group format
- Assess student reading levels and progress, adjusting instruction as needed
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and school staff to design and implement effective literacy plans
- Maintain accurate documentation of student performance, interventions, and outcomes
- Participate in team meetings and professional development related to literacy instruction
