An opportunity is available for a High School Reading Specialist dedicated to supporting students in improving their literacy skills. This part-time role is based in Easton, MA, and focuses on working with high school students to help them achieve reading proficiency and academic success.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing targeted reading instruction and interventions tailored to individual student needs
- Collaborating with classroom teachers and special education staff to develop and implement effective literacy strategies
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting instructional approaches accordingly
- Supporting students on a specialized caseload and maintaining accurate records of their development
Qualifications and experience required:
- Bachelors degree
- Special education certification
- Reading endorsement demonstrating expertise in literacy instruction
- Experience working with high school students, particularly in a special education setting
Position details:
- Part-time position, approximately 20 hours per week
- Work schedule includes 3 days per week
