Key Qualifications:

• Reading Specialist certification required
• Active Pennsylvania teaching certification/licensure
• School-based experience, ideally in urban settings
• Demonstrated expertise in relevant subject matter and instructional techniques
• Strong classroom and behavior management
• Experience designing and implementing lesson plans aligned with current state and district standards
• Ability to complete all Pennsylvania clearance requirements
• Reliable transportation to and from work
• Comfortable working within a dynamic district setting
• Must be open to a Zoom interview during the hiring process

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver targeted literacy instruction for elementary and K-8 students
• Craft and adapt lesson plans that utilize formative assessment and differentiation
• Support the schools comprehensive literacy initiatives through expert resource selection and individualized attention
• Employ effective classroom management strategies to foster a positive learning environment
• Collaborate with staff and families to support student progress and educational goals
