Job Description

Embark on an exciting contract opportunity as a Reading Specialist in Rehoboth, MA, working closely with elementary students to unlock their reading potential. This role offers a fulfilling chance to make a measurable difference in the academic journey of children, using evidence-based literacy instruction in a supportive school environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering targeted reading instruction to elementary students, focusing on building foundational literacy skills.
  • Utilizing the Wilson Reading curriculum to design and implement individualized and small group lessons for diverse learners.
  • Collaborating with classroom teachers and school staff to support students reading development and share effective instructional strategies.
  • Tracking student progress, maintaining detailed records, and adapting instruction to meet evolving needs.
  • Engaging families by communicating student progress and providing guidance for reading support at home.
  • Participating in team meetings, professional development, and grade-level planning as needed.

Key qualifications and experience:

  • Valid Wilson Reading Certification (required).
  • Demonstrated expertise in elementary reading instruction, particularly with struggling or at-risk readers.
  • Prior experience as a Reading Specialist in a school setting is highly valued.
  • Strong knowledge of diagnostic tools and progress monitoring in literacy.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

This contract position runs from ASAP through June 26, 2026, with a part-time schedule of approximately 20 hours per week. Youll enjoy weekly pay, as well as comprehensive insurance benefits for medical, dental, vision, and life, plus access to 401k retirement plans.
