Key Qualifications:
- Wilson Reading Certification is required
- Reading Specialist experience in school settings, preferably at the elementary grade level
- Ability to assess, plan, and deliver individualized reading instruction
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, teachers, and families
- Passion for supporting diverse learning needs and fostering student confidence
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted, small-group, or one-on-one reading remediation and instruction
- Implement effective evidence-based interventions to support students reading growth
- Track and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and other specialists to integrate literacy support
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians on student development
- Contribute actively to a positive, inclusive school environment
