Step into a rewarding contract position as a Reading Specialist for the upcoming school year, serving full-time at a local elementary school within a collaborative and supportive environment. Starting August 24, 2026, and extending through June 10, 2027, you will use your expertise to make a significant impact on students literacy achievements during crucial stages of their learning journey.
This role requires a hands-on professional who excels in delivering targeted reading instruction, creating differentiated lesson plans, and utilizing assessment data to drive student growth. You will manage a diverse caseload and work closely with colleagues, applying your strengths in classroom and behavioral management to foster a positive learning environment.
What were seeking:
- Active PA certification/licensure, including reading specialist certification
- Demonstrated success in school-based roles, especially in urban settings
- Mastery of literacy instruction, curriculum alignment, and the latest state and district standards
- Strong ability to create and adapt lesson plans using formative assessments
- Outstanding classroom and behavioral management skills
- Reliable transportation for on-site work
- Comfortable working within the district and location specified
- Full compliance with PA clearance requirements
- Available for a Zoom interview prior to placement
