Job Description

Make an impact supporting diverse learners as a dedicated Dyslexia Therapist in an engaging school setting near Irving, TX. This contract opportunity allows you to foster literacy growth and implement evidence-based strategies across both an elementary and high school campus, making a significant difference for students with reading needs.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid General Teaching Endorsement
  • One of the following credentials required:
    Reading Endorsement
    Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT)
    Licensed Dyslexia Practitioner (LDP)
  • Demonstrated experience working with students with dyslexia and reading challenges
  • Strong knowledge of reading intervention strategies and best practices
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with staff and families

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provide targeted reading interventions and specialized instruction to K-12 students identified with dyslexia
  • Design and deliver individualized therapy plans based on student assessments and progress monitoring
  • Serve as a dyslexia specialist at both an elementary and a high school campus
  • Consult with teachers and support staff to incorporate literacy strategies across learning environments
  • Document student progress, interventions, and communicate findings clearly with stakeholders
  • Participate in team meetings, IEP processes, and professional development opportunities
