Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Wilson Reading Certification (required)
- Experience as a Reading Specialist, preferably in an elementary school setting
- Strong knowledge of reading intervention strategies and literacy development
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and targeted reading interventions to elementary students identified as needing extra support
- Assess students reading abilities and progress using a variety of assessment tools
- Develop and implement individualized reading plans aligned with best practices and curricular standards
- Work closely with classroom teachers, special educators, and support staff to coordinate literacy efforts
- Maintain accurate documentation of student performance and communicate progress to stakeholders
- Participate in ongoing professional development related to literacy and instructional strategies
