This contract position offers an opportunity to support high school students as a Reading Specialist in a well-regarded educational setting in Cambridge, MA. The role involves working 20 hours per week, spread over three days, providing targeted reading interventions to help students improve literacy skills and achieve academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized reading instruction tailored to high school students needs
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to develop and implement effective reading strategies
- Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and adjust instructional plans accordingly
- Support students with diverse learning needs, including those requiring special education services
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree required
- Special education certification and reading endorsement mandatory
- Experience working with high school students in a similar role is highly preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills to manage caseload effectively
