This opportunity is for a High School Reading Specialist providing specialized instructional support to high school students to enhance their reading skills. The position is a 20-hour per week contract role, spread across three days weekly, based in Easton, MA.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree
- Special education certification
- Reading endorsement
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized reading plans for students on the caseload
- Collaborate with general and special education staff to integrate reading strategies
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional approaches accordingly
- Provide targeted intervention designed to improve reading comprehension and fluency
- Maintain accurate records and communicate progress with families and educational teams
