Job Description

Are you a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) passionate about supporting students with autism in an elementary setting? A contract opportunity is available for a dedicated RBT to work with an autism program in a school located near Wilmington, DE. This full-time role offers a rewarding chance to apply your expertise and make a difference in young learners lives.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification (required)
  • Active Delaware PARA Permit (required)
  • School-based experience strongly preferred, especially with elementary-aged students
  • Proven ability to implement physical intervention strategies when necessary
  • Experience collecting behavioral and instructional data within a classroom
  • Willingness to fulfill bathroom duties, including toileting, diapering, and hygiene assistance
  • Ability to be onsite for scheduled hours: 8:45 AM to 4:15 PM (37.5 hours per week), with one 30-minute daily break
  • Strong team player, flexible to classroom assignments as needed
  • Reliable transportation to and from the school

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support students within the autism program, using ABA principles and intervention strategies
  • Collect and maintain behavioral and instructional data regularly
  • Participate in all required classroom activities and duties, including hygiene care
  • Collaborate with classroom staff, therapists, and teachers to optimize student outcomes
  • Adapt to changes in assignment as needed by school administration
